Director of AI & Business Automation
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid | 2 to 3 days in office)
Salary Range: $175k – $225k + 20% to 30% bonus potential
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly innovative Director of AI & Business Automation to lead the design, development, and implementation of artificial intelligence systems and AI agents across our organization.
This role will focus on identifying opportunities to leverage AI to improve operational efficiency, increase productivity, enhance customer experience, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally across all departments including operations, sales, finance, HR, and customer support to analyze existing workflows and implement intelligent automation solutions.
This individual will serve as the internal leader responsible for transforming business processes through the strategic use of AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities Include:
AI Strategy & Implementation
- Lead the company’s AI automation strategy and implementation roadmap
- Identify opportunities to deploy AI tools and agents that improve operational efficiency and productivity
- Design and implement AI solutions that streamline workflows and eliminate manual tasks
Business Process Analysis
- Work closely with leadership and department heads to evaluate existing processes
- Spend time embedded within departments to analyze workflows, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities
- Conduct operational assessments to identify areas where AI can improve performance, reduce costs, and increase output
AI Agent Development
- Design, deploy, and manage AI agents that automate business processes
- Implement AI solutions that support customer service, sales enablement, internal operations, and administrative workflows
- Integrate AI technologies into existing systems and platforms
Performance Optimization
- Measure the effectiveness of AI implementations through defined KPIs
- Continuously refine and improve AI systems to maximize performance and ROI
- Monitor system performance and ensure solutions remain aligned with business objectives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with department leaders to drive AI adoption across the organization
- Train internal teams on the use of AI tools and automation systems
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on AI innovation and automation best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in automation engineering, AI implementation, systems architecture, or related fields
- Proven experience implementing automation or AI solutions that improve operational efficiency
- Strong understanding of AI agents, LLM workflows, and automation platforms
- Experience with workflow automation tools, APIs, and system integrations
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and design scalable solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple departments
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AI agent frameworks and automation platforms
- Knowledge of data analysis and process optimization methodologies
- Experience implementing AI in business operations, customer service, or sales environments
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, automation pipelines, and system integrations

- Within the first 12 months, this role will:
